Lambco, LLC
Lambco, LLC was founded in 2007 by Joseph D. Kavanagh, Jr. as a family owned and operated business. The original plan was to perform the service of Custom Ethnic Harvesting of lamb and goat, but it is expanding to much more. Ethnic, Custom and USDA Inspected Slaughter of lamb and goat are all part of the services we offer.
During the spring, summer and fall of 2009 we began offering fresh produce right from our garden. In the fall of 2010 we began selling chickens and eggs. Lambco, LLC has a Maryland Egg Packers and Distributor's Licence. Lambco, LLC attended the Maryland Rabbit and Poultry On-Farm Slaughter/Processing Program in March 2011.
The Facility
The Lambco, LLC processing facility was designed and built in 2007-2008 specifically for the processing of lamb and goat on a commercial scale. The attached lamb/goat barn was also built at the same time. The entire facility is maintained with a stringent level of cleanliness. The population of the holding pens are kept at a comfortable level for the animals so they have plenty of room to move around and have access to hay and water at all times.
